Watched the Royal Challengers versus Kings XI Punjab. RC lost. Their challenges are royal and internal. It was fun to experience it live, though. The ground looks pretty small in real life versus TV. It was wonderful weather, no mosquitoes (they are regular co-hosts at events in Bangalore!), a nice warm breeze.....did I mention that it was just the two of us? Yep. Love the kids but loved this as well. What did I do with all the time before we had kids? I thought I had too much to do then....and no time!
The stadium has to improve quite a bit - there was only one big screen and it was placed so that only the VIPs could watch it. We should have taken binoculars.....had the India flag and danced with it for the first part of the match. The second half had little to cheer for. So we shouted ourselves hoarse giving advice - come on, we are fans, we are entitled and know how it is done!
Bangalore still is pretty sleepy - when we had the time, even if it was close to midnight, there was no place open to get a snack or a cup of coffee in the middle of town. Really missed the diner experience from the US - that would have made an already perfect evening complete.
The kids had a ball - am sure they were better behaved yesterday than their parents! Now they want to live with Asha and Ashok....I am considering that idea myself! :-)
Off to holiday in Sikkim for 10 days. It is cold there....would never want to go back to Boston weather, but right now winter sounds good. We have to get past Calcutta's muggy summer day before that.
